Selecting Days & Bulk Actions

How to select single or multiple days for actions

Selection Methods

  • Click — Select a single day to open its detail panel
  • Shift+Click — Select a range of days between your last click and this one
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Click — Add or remove individual days from your selection
  • Drag — Click and drag across days to select a range
Drag to select multiple days — selected days show a blue highlight

Selecting the Whole Month

When a binder has Bill the full month in advance enabled, a "Select all" button appears in the calendar toolbar while you're viewing the current month. It selects every day in the month at once — useful for billing or paying an entire month up front. The bulk panel automatically skips any day it can't act on (locked, unscheduled, or already done) and lists the reason.

Aiming a bulk action at some columns

When the days you selected cover more than one billing code, the bulk panel's preview table puts a checkbox on each column heading. Everything is ticked to begin with. Untick a column and that work drops out of the action, while the rest goes ahead. The figures update as you tick, so the button always shows what it is about to do.

This matters because a payment or a denial usually lands against one authorization rather than everything a patient holds. Unticking every column is allowed; the action buttons switch off and tell you Select at least one billing code to act on.

Double-Click Quick Toggles

  • Billing role: Double-click a logged day to instantly toggle it to billed (and vice versa)
  • Remittance role: Double-click a billed day to instantly toggle it to paid (and vice versa)

Quick toggles don't work on future days — you can't bill or pay a day that hasn't happened yet. The exception is a binder with Bill the full month in advance enabled, which unlocks upcoming days in the current month.

The Quick Action Popover

When you select one or more days, a popover appears above your selection with:

  • A note form — type your note and choose the type
  • Action buttons — based on your role and the selected days' status

Which Actions Appear

The system determines available actions based on your role and what's selected:

Your RoleSelected StatusAction Available
LoggerEmpty daysBulk log form
BillingLogged days"Mark as Billed"
BillingBilled days"Undo Billed"
RemittanceBilled days"Mark as Paid"
RemittancePaid days"Undo Paid"
All rolesAny daysAdd notes

Unpayable is not in this popover, on purpose. Writing visits off, and undoing it, both happen in the day detail panel on the right. The popover is a small quick-action strip, and a write-off is worth opening the panel for. See Unpayable Visits.

Hold days are excluded from bulk actions. Hospital days are included but may need unit adjustments.
