Finding Missing Timesheets
How to identify and handle gaps in visit logging
The Missed Logs Button
Look for the red "Missed" button in the calendar header bar (between the month navigation and view controls). If it appears, it means there are missed log entries that need attention. The button shows the total count across all months — not just the previous one.
The button only appears when there are missed logs to address. Once all missed logs are resolved, it disappears. Use it to quickly find all the dates with missing visit logs for this patient.
Using the Missed Logs Dialog
Click the Missed button to open a dialog listing every missed log entry, grouped by month with the most recent first. Each item shows:
- The date of the missed visit
- The aide/employee name
- The units and billing code
Click any item to jump directly to that month and day — the calendar navigates to the correct month and opens the day in the detail panel.
How to Handle Missing Timesheets
- Click the Missed button to see all outstanding entries
- Click an entry to navigate to that day
- Log the units when you receive the report
The count updates automatically as you resolve missed logs.
Logging Retroactively
You can log units for any past day, even months ago. Use the Missed Logs dialog to quickly find and navigate to days that need attention. There's no time limit on retroactive logging.
Visits Billed Before Logging
Some binders allow billing before visit reports are received. When a biller marks an unlogged day as billed, it automatically appears as missed in your Missed Logs count and dialog. You don't need to do anything special — these show up alongside regular missed entries.
When you receive the visit report and log the actual units, if the units differ from what was billed, the system flags it for the remittance team to resolve. If the units match, the visit simply transitions to its current billing status with no further action needed.
